In the begining of the quarter, we chose groups and decided who wanted to take care of a salf water or fresh water fish tank. We were told that the salt water tanks would be a lot more work to take care of versus the fresh water. We also found out, however, that we can have more exotic animals. My group is Darean, Jose, and Bryan and we chose different rocks and pieces to add character to our tank. Lauren brought in her tank that had two silver fish and two clown fish and we have found different organisms growing in the tank since such as snails, worms, and crabs.

The ocean floor can be described using the following terms: continental shelf, continental slope, continental rise, trench, guyot, seamount, mid ocean ridge, and island. After we created the ocean floor, we presented it to a class of adorable fifth grade students at the elementary school. When i presented, I just described the ocean floor using phrases from Finding Nemo. We did some worksheets on different oceanic currents and tides and began to understand them more indepth. They also did a worksheet on the ocean depths as well. Since then, we have done a few coloring activities and worksheets on the currents and
