If i went into the marine biology feild, I would definitely want to pursue the career of an animal beahvior research assistant. I think it is very important to know the reasons why anything does things the way they do. Once we get a grasp on how they opperate, then research becomes more accurate.
September 11, 2001 is a day that the American people will never forget. This tradgedy has affected many families in the United States and almost directly affected mine. My dad was in the Pentagon when one of the planes crashed into the building. He was on the other side of the Pentagon in a meeting when the plane hit directly and his office was severly dammaged. I am so thankful that he is alive. Even though I was only five years old at the time, I can still remember peering over the Patomic River and seeing nothing but smoke. I am so thankful for my dad because without him I definitely would not be where I am today. He has encouraged me to try my best at everything I do and have faith in myself and in God.
Our salf water fish tank already has a lot more life than we were aware of. We discovered clams, shells, and starfish, in additon to the two clownfish and two silverfish we already have. There is no distinct difference between the silver fish. I did notice, however, one of our clownfish has a spot by its tail. This fish also appears to be superier to the other because it is often times followed by the male. Maybe this is some sort of mating notion. Hopefully I will learn more about animal behavior and ethology with my upcoming project.
Hi my name is Ally Westover and I am in the eleventh grade. I have been quite interuiged by the marine world since i was a young kid. However, my interest for marine organisms was rekindled last summer. I was looking for something to do so I flipped on Discovery Channel. I watched an underwater documentary on various fish, mamals, and coral reefs and I found myself looking up more videos on Youtube later that day. Researching different animals and scientists became a routine for me the rest of the summer. This past Spring Break, I went to Australia and snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reed out at Lady Elliot Island. It was the experience of a lifetime and I would love to continue research on marine organisms as a career in the future. Today we took our first pH temperature and it came out to be an 8.4. This is a bit high for a fish tank.
