We did three different labs so far this year. We dissected a worm, clam, and a squid. My favorite thing to dissect was the squid. I thought that it was the most interesting dissection out of everything we dissected. The worm dissecton lab was the most boring lab because it has such a simple system. I thought the clam was interesting because it was a lot different than what i originially thought that it would be. I expected the clam to be smaller and a lot less complex but there was a lot more to the clam than i had originally assumed.
The worm was boring to me personally because i dont find worms very fascinating. I have also done this lab before in Biology my freshman year. It was a little more interesting to me then but i still wasnt too intruiged by the idea of touching a dead worm.
I really enjoyed the squid dissection because i think that squids are very interesting animals. I have always been intruiged by their movements and their ability to squirt ink when they feel threatened. There were a lot of parts to the squid that i didnt even know exsisted and i learned a lot about them. I always thought that there were more than 2 tentacles on a squid and i mistaked them for arms.
